Carol Smillie named as face of gold jewellery brand
Gold jewellery manufactured by a firm in Scotland is to be promoted by television personality Carol Smillie and her daughter.
The former Changing Rooms host will appear as the face of Ortak's new autumn-winter range of jewellery pieces, appearing in a new photoshoot with daughter Christie Knight, an up-and-coming model.
According to STV, the photos will appear in the company's catalogues as well as its shop windows across Scotland, Newcastle and Sheffield.
Smillie explained that the location of the firm was one of the main reasons for joining as an ambassador.
"I love the fact that Ortak is steeped in rich Scottish heritage and, being proud of my roots, I jumped at the chance to be associated with the brand," she said.
Smillie rose to fame alongside Nicky Campbell as co-host of TV quiz show Wheel of Fortune.
More recently, she returned to Glasgow School of Art, citing "unfinished business" on her official website, to learn painting and life drawing as a hobby.
