DRC ‘could become Africa’s biggest gold producer’
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has the potential to become a significant player in the African gold mining sector, it has been claimed.
Speaking at an event in Toronto held by the Canada-South African Chamber of Commerce, chairperson of Banro Simon Village said it is possible that the DRC will be seen as just as viable an investment decision as fellow gold-producing nations Ghana and Tanzania in ten years’ time.
