Gold-seeking metal detectorists look to preserve heritage
A growing number of people are taking to the UK’s fields with metal detectors after last year’s significant Anglo-Saxon gold find in Staffordshire.
The Telegraph reports that many of these treasure seekers are more motivated by the opportunity to discover and preserve a slice of British heritage than by the chance of earning money, however.
