Gold leaf helps bring piece of Poland to Pennsylvania
Gold leaf has been used in the creation of a traditional Krakow szopka to help Pennsylvania’s Polish-Americans celebrate Christmas.
Reading Eagle reports Pittsburgh-based artist David Motak built the four-foot high model using methods he observed during visits to the Krakow Ethnographic Museum and the Krakow History Museum in Poland’s ancient capital.
